Former German Justice Minister Katarina Barley joins the program.

Tragedy has struck Germany after a suspected far-right gunman went on a murder spree last night, killing nine people in the city of Hanau. Katarina Barley is a member of the European Parliament and was previously a Justice Minister who served in Angela Merkel’s government until last year. She joins Christiane to reflect on the tragedy and to address the roots of such an atrocity.
